Windows Mobile 6.5
Posted on November 14th, 2009 at 2:38 AM by admin

Before the release of Windows 7, Microsoft officially introduced the new operating system available for mobile devices. Windows Mobile 6.5 will be easier to administer, can be managed more effectively and run more quickly. Official unveiling of the new Windows Mobile made the mobile to carry all the new equipment which made the mobile no longer the terms Pocket PC and Smartphone but now run under the general umbrella of Windows Phone. Even with the new name they continue to distinguish between devices with touch-sensitive displays and devices which are only controlled via keyboard. The Professional version is available on all devices that are controlled via the touch display and the standard version found on all keyboard-controlled devices.

The handling is a finger-friendly operation. Almost all functions can be operated very easily without annoying stylus with the touch screen operated by thumb. The only drawback is the old menu structure.

Microsoft offers many free softwares and they give few softwares for advance payment. They can be easily downloaded and installed in the mobile. Taking back up of photos, videos, documents, text messages are very easy with their back up solutions.

The recent innovation in the tech world is the Internet Explorer for Mobile phones. Many equipment vendors are using Opera’s mobile browser which became the standard on many machines. With the new zoom feature and a quick rendering of pages the new version of Internet Explorer is best when comparing to other browsers. The new mobile Internet Explorer not only supports to display normal web pages but also includes Flash-based content.

Conclusion: As we heard just before the release of Windows Mobile 6.5, Microsoft’s head was not quite so happy with the new version. I can understand that at first glance that some areas are improved but not all the areas are improved when comparing to the previous version. In the case of selection of sound and arrival of new e-mails it is like its previous version. I think we can expect the introduction of the next version of Windows Mobile 7  with a lot more new features and changes that were unfortunately not implemented in the current version. Nevertheless Windows Mobile 6.5 is a successful upgrade of many outdated features and menu structures, and a good step forward.
